KYIV. On the day of Circumcision of the Lord and St. Basil the Great the UOC Primate celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Protection Convent

On January 14, the feast of Circumcision of the Lord, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Protection Convent of Kyiv.

Concelebrating to His Beatitude was Archbishop Alexander of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy and Vyshnevw and clergymen of the monastery. Praying at the worship were Mother Superior of the Convent hegumeness Calisthene (Shamaylo) with nuns, Deputy Minister of Culture Yuri Bohutski.

That day a new year starts according to the church calendar the memory of Saint Basil the Great, Archbishop of Caesarea of Cappadocia.
