Mare apărător te-a aflat întru primejdii lumea, purtătorule de chinuri, pe tine cel ce ai biruit pe păgâni.

Deci precum mândria lui Lie ai înfrânt și la luptă îndrăzneț pe Nestor l-ai făcut;

Așa, Sfinte Dimitrie, roagă-l pe Hristos Dumnezeu, să ne dăruiasca nouă mare milă!
